Más imágenes para colgar en la pared. Algunos dibujos, anuncios, mapas, etc. Hay muchas imágenes de Blade Runner y afines para colgar en las paredes. Lo más difícil es elegir las que se quedarán enrolladas y sin enmarcar.

If you ever asked you where to find the magnification images showed in the microscope from the ADN row sequence, here you have the answer: Magnifications book, by David Scharf, a collection of beautiful images done with the scanning electron microscope. All images are in black and white, thus, the imagen in the movie has faux colour.

Todas las imágenes son en blanco y negro, así pues, las imágenes que aparecen en la película están coloreadas.

This is one of the books that appears in the Deckard’s apartment. Not difficult to locate. You may try at ebay, or, better, Abebooks.com, a service that locates books around the world in any status. The book depicts France like a travel guide, plenty of pictures in black and white. In French, of course. Book dates from 1950′s.

Puedes intentarlo en ebay, o mejor aún, en Abebooks.com, un servicio que localiza libros en cualquier parte del mundo y en cualquier estado. El libro muestra Francia como si de una guía de viaje se tratara, lleno de imágenes en blanco y negro. En francés por supuesto. El libro data de los 50.

Vid-Phon report
From Masakazu Takeda, just today I’ve received this unique Vid-Phon report “book”. In fact, a 20 pages booklet with complete information about Vid-Phon booth prop, with CD included. It depicts the real prop (one of them) used in the movie. The author has been so lucky to meet with the owner and take all kind of pictures from it. A nice report to (try to) do an accurate replica of this awesome prop! Thank you Masakazu! This report worths its value!

Directo de Masazku Takeda, justo hoy acabo de recibir este único informe en forma de libro sobre el Vid-Phon. De hecho, un libreto de 20 páginas con información completa sobre la cabina de teléfonos (o Vid-Phon), con un CD incluído. Contiene imágenes del prop real utilizado en la película (uno de ellos). El autor ha tenido la suerte de encontrarse con el propietario del mismo y tomar toda clase de fotografías. ¡Un informe genial para intentar reproducir este prop excepcional! ¡Gracias Masakazu! ¡Este informe vale mucho la pena!

Today I’ve received three Blurb books. None involved with Blade Runner. Two of them have Japan as subject. The other one, beautiful landscapes. Well, each one has different approachs in composition, cover, bindings, number of pages and so on. And all of them looks great in overall. Only type could be better in one of the books. Perhaps author faults, I don’t know. But, paper quality and picture quality is great!
I think this will be the way… Blurb editions, one by one, with a reasonable cost, easy distribution to US/Canada market and not so expensive to Europe.
Time of printing from order is about 5 days. Not bad!
Here you have some pics to watch my adquisition. Softcover one is a good surprise. Brilliant and very well done.

Estoy a punto de tomar una decisión…
Hoy he recibido tres libros de Blurb. Ninguno que tenga algo que ver con Blade Runner. Dos de ellos se basan en Japón. El tercero, una colección de bellos paisajes. Bien, cada uno de ellos tiene un enfoque distinto en cuanto a composición, cubiertas, encuadernación, número de páginas, etc. Y todos ellos tienen una apariencia magnifica por regla general. La única cosa que no me ha convencido en uno de ellos es la letra. Quizás es fallo del autor, no lo se. La calidad del papel, sin embargo, así como la calidad de las fotografías, ¡es muy buena!
Creo que será la manera…. Ediciones Blurb, una por una, con un coste razonable, distribución fácil al mercado de USA y Canadá, y no tan caro como pueda parecer para Europa.
Tiempo de impresión desde el pedido, unos 5 días. ¡No está nada mal!
Aquí puedes ver unas imágenes de mi adquisición. La edición de portada blanda ha sido una sorpresa agradable. Brillante y muy bien hecha.
Debo tomar una decisión… ¿Blurb o no Blurb? ¡Esa es la cuestión!

The Capt. Bryant watch is a double watch. None has been lucky in the research process. Thus, a popular opinion is that this particular two LED watch was a montage. From two watches, removing half of them, mounting together, the results is a “Bryant watch”. Well, another question, identify the original watch. Seems like Hamilton LED watches was used by Blade Runner prop makers. Finding one of these are very difficult, and they are not cheap!!!
This is my own Hamilton LED watch. Found in US, from a private collector. Is not exact, but very accurate to the Bryant original parts. These are my best pics taken.

El reloj del Capitán Bryant is un reloj doble. Nadie ha tenido la suerte de localizarlo. Popularmente se admite que ese reloj particular son, en realidad, dos relojes LED montados. A partir de dos relojes, quitando la mitad de ellos (la cadena), y montándolos juntos, el resultado da un “reloj de Bryant”. Bien, otra questión era identificar el reloj original. Parece ser que los Hamilton LED fueron utilizados por los responsables de atrezzo de Blade Runner. Encontrar uno de ellos no es tarea fácil, ¡y además son carísimos!
Este es mi propio reloj LED Hamilton. Lo encontré en USA, a través de un coleccionista particular. No es exacto, pero es muy parecido al que forma parte del original de Bryant. Y estas son las mejores imágenes que tengo por el momento.

This is a little booklet about Harrison Ford filmography. Cannot say any more. Is in Japanese! Thus, you must wait until I finish my Japanese studies…

Este es un pequeño librito sobre la filmografía de Harrison Ford. Poco puedo añadir. ¡Está en japonés! Así que… tendrás que esperar hasta que termine mis estudios de japonés… Interesante recopilación de imágenes sobre la carrera de Ford.

Let’s talk about the different approaches my Fan Book Project could have (for now). My first idea was to publish a selected collection of pictures, some unpublished, some from prop makers, some from private collectors, and so on. All of these pìcs must be related with the proper location of props in the movie. Snapshots tailored to show the exact place, etc. Well, this was the FIRST idea as I said… But…
But, things goes and take form in a way never could thing in the first insight… and this book will be not exception. A second sight about contents showed me that prop topic is vaste and almost impossible to limit… then, a simple categorization appears in my mind:
1. Props used in the screen. Real props.
2. Replicas from real objects in the real world. Objects of normal use that appears in the movie.
3. Replicas made by hobbists, prop makers, casters, artists and so on. Replicas accurate to screen ones.
4. How to identify and find the real props and replicas from real objects.
Well, this 4 points are very extensible… as time goes on and show me.

Proyecto Libro: Algunas ideas sobre las capturas de pantalla
Aquí os presento algunas imágenes de pruebas hechas con Photoshop. Son capturas del Final Cut procesadas para “esconder” la película en sí con un bonito efecto de dibujos animados o comic. La única cosa que se ve realmente como es es el objeto ilustrado.
